Ahrens Companies served as both architect and builder for this 46,140 square foot dry storage facility expansion at Hinckley Yachts in Stuart, Florida. The pre-engineered metal building was designed as a seamless extension of the existing marina, enhancing storage capacity and operational flow while maintaining full functionality during construction.
The facility includes dry storage, a maintenance shop, and a mezzanine level for equipment storage. A new interior access point was integrated to connect the existing and new structures, improving circulation and workflow across the site.
Engineered to withstand Category 5 hurricane wind speeds up to 204 mph, the building incorporates coastal-grade materials, fire protection systems, ADA-compliant restrooms, and charging stations. A durable concrete apron with built-in tie hooks surrounds the structure for vessel security during severe weather.
The oversized hydraulic door offers unobstructed vessel access and serves as a distinctive architectural feature. The exterior paneling, inspired by ocean hues, reflects Hinckley’s brand identity and coastal environment.
